Having been interested in mechanics since a young age and having an addiction to motorsport, Dave has found himself working on vehicles from run of the mill road cars, to tanks, high performance cars, classics as well as Formula 1 cars and even the odd lawnmower.

He started his career working for a Land Rover specialist garage locally, doing general repairs and building off road competition cars as well competing himself. Dave has also spent time working as a civilian contractor for the Army working on anything from quad bikes to tanks, obtaining his H CAT license whilst working in Bordon.

A supportive and active Farnborough District Motor Club member, Dave campaigned his mini at a multitude of different events before the opportunity to buy a stage rally car presented itself. As well as attending events as mechanical support over the years, he has co driven in a number of tarmac and off road rally’s including the local Mini Tempest Stages. He also enjoys smaller events organised by FDMC and other local motor clubs such as Targas, Autosolos, Sprints and 12 car navigational rallies.

After a rebuild from the ground up, he finished his stage rally Peugeot 205 in January 2022, and enjoyed a successful years racing that year, as well as finding the time to attend other events to support his fellow competitors and friends.

After a stint in a local family run garage, Dave shifted his focus to working with an exclusive local business restoring and maintaining classic and historic race cars, including an array of 80s-90s Formula 1 cars. Running the cars at Test days and events such as Goodwood Revival were just some of the perks.
